Great reading but hard on the eyes

I had an earlier edition of this book and liked it so much I ordered a new one for a relative. Unfortunately, the publisher has shrunk the size and the print is far too small. If you can read it, it's great. But if you can't stand the strain of tiny print, I'm afraid you'll have a hard time with this edition.

It contains concise, excellently written biographies of all the major personalities featured in the New Testament as well as most of the obscure ones. The contents have been thoroughly researched and meticulously compiled. I loved it and cannot wait to purchase Who's who in the Old Testament.

covers a lot of material; full of errors

I purchased this book as it was required for a class. The book presents a lot of material and a lot of very practical considerations. At first glance, it seems like a very good resource because of all the topics it covers and integrates in the exercises.

That said, I've only read portions of five chapters and have found numerous rather conspicuous errors in both the text and the exercise sets. Some errors involve misrepresentation of k-map covers and demorgan's law; others in the exercise sets aren't so blatantly obvious. If i hadn't already covered this material in classes years ago, i'd certainly be confused. If you need to buy this book for a class, keep this hazard in mind if you ever get stumped.

I think its a fantastic book for students and individuals with varying skills, experience, and interests. Highly recommend it.

I'm sure the way you respond to this book will depend heavily on your experience level as a mechanical and electronics tinkerer. I happen to be right in the bullseye of the author's target audience: this book is perfect for where I am in my informal education in those areas. My favorite part is that Ms. Roberts makes specific recommendations for tools and for parts and materials sources. The information is presented in a very logical order. It is intentionally not too deep - just the bare essentials to get you started experimenting. But with plenty of information about how to go further. If you want to learn how to build machines that move, this is a great place to start.

OK. Relatively basic introductory book on "mechatronics". If you have never laid hands on a stepper motor, gear motor, or some kind of microcontroller such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi then this might be a great book for you. But if you are advanced past that level I would not recommend it.

However you may get confused because the examples in the book is using the programming language Eiffel. You would like this book if and only if you like hard coding.
