As a practicing physical therapist I always tend to increase my abilities in the field.This book gives anybody interested in orthopaedic/manual medicine the extended knowledge about how to examine and treat patients with motion apparatus' problems.Some says that Cyriax's point of view on manual therapy was very controversive but there had been nobody who trained so many famous therapists as he did.The book,its containess,should be considered an esensive complement of education in the orthopaedic and manual therapy's field.I reccomend!

I bought this book with high expectations, expecting to be given practical advice. After 4 attempts I managed to get through chapter one and found it to be dry, boring and too detailed about definitions, the same ones over and over. After finishing chapter one, I scanned the titles of the remaining chapters. There appeared to be no readily accessible help for a reader who is not embarking on a college program where theory and depth is important. I would NOT recomment this book for anyone who needs practical information.

If you are chartering a sailboat around French Polynesia you should get this book or the Cruising Guide book to plan your itinerary. Bring it along and use it too. It helps you navigate, saves you time by pointing out good anchorages, and gives you perspective as to where you are when you are sailing around. If your not sailing, get one of the travel books. Lots of great information in a format that is easy to understand. The many illistrations make it easy to visualize how it will be when I arrive.
